William Bret Wrenn, of Roanoke Rapids, formerly of Knightdale, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

Bret was a native of Halifax County, the son of Edward Mason and Josephine ''Jo'' Garner Wrenn. He was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School, Class of 1979. Bret worked his entire career, beginning in 1980, with Schneider Electric in Knightdale, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Price Wrenn.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Kim Edwards and her husband, Ray, and Tracy Kidd and her husband, Bill, all of Roanoke Rapids; his brother, Mike Wrenn and his wife, Deanna, of Tampa, FL; five nephews; two nieces; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Mike Wrenn officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
